2011-2012 Season: The Originals
The DPO's popular Rockin' Orchestra Series continues to grow and explore the main branches of the rock music family tree. The series has expanded to four one-night engagements featuring the best rock-with-orchestra experiences on the scene today. The series kicks off with Three Dog Night, the originals, and proceeds from there to explore far-out psychedelia and progressive rock with the music of 1970s innovative bands, Pink Floyd and Queen. To close the series, we flash back to the club scene and take it to the max with some groovy funk and disco.
